I wish country music was still a legitimate genre.

Years and years ago, country music was full of timeless songs that were soulful, heartfelt, and struck an emotional chord. But nowadays, most of it is nothing more than shallow, generic, meaningless pop music masked with cowboy hats and redneck themes in attempts to place it under the guise of “country”. Johnny Cash and Hank Williams must be turning in their graves.

"I wish I could hit upon a pleasant track of thought, a track indirectly reflecting credit upon myself, for those are the pleasantest thoughts, and very frequent even in the minds of modest, mouse-coloured people, who believe genuinely that they dislike to hear their own praises."

Virginia Woolf
